A recent job in Crewe: an Ideal Logic combi boiler that had become noisy. We opened it up, took the burner out and cleaned the burner and the heat exchanger. No parts were replaced. After the clean the boiler ran quietly again.

Everything in the standard service, plus the burner, heat exchanger and other parts are cleaned and the system water is checked. - Landlords
A landlord gas safety record (CP12) can be done on the same visit, so the boiler is serviced and the legal check is covered.

Questions about boiler service in Crewe
How often should a boiler be serviced?
Once a year. Most manufacturers also require an annual service to keep the warranty valid.
Do landlords need a gas safety certificate as well?
Yes. A landlord must have each gas appliance checked every 12 months and give the tenant the gas safety record (CP12).
Is a service the same as a gas safety check?
They overlap but are not the same. A service looks after the boiler's condition and efficiency. A landlord gas safety record is a legal safety inspection. Both can be done in one visit.
