Combi boilers
A combi (combination) boiler heats water directly from the mains when you turn on a tap, so there is no hot-water cylinder or loft tank. They suit smaller homes with one or two bathrooms. Hot water can slow if two outlets are used at once.
System boilers
A system boiler heats a separate hot-water cylinder and has the main parts built in. They give strong hot-water flow to several outlets at once, so they suit larger homes with more than one bathroom.
Regular boilers
A regular (conventional) boiler works with a cylinder and a feed tank in the loft. They are common in older homes and can suit places with low mains pressure or an existing set-up that works well.
Choosing
The right choice depends on how much hot water you use, the number of bathrooms and what pipework is already there. We look at your home and recommend one, and quote the full job in writing.
